| |  | This is the entrance to Konohagakure, this gate is guarded by several ninja as well as ANBU who are quite far away. Konoha is known for being a very safe and sound village next to Kirigakure of course. This gate is said to be near indestructible. It has survived a lot over the ages.

It is named after the old Sannin of the Leaf because they used to be see here all the time. The Grounds haven't been visited as of late and the grass and bushes that were once cut down to make a path has now grown back in every which direction. No one knows for sure what is behind the doors at the ruin but a lot of people believe that if you train here, your training will go smoothly.

It is said that during the Sixth Shinobi war the Feudal Lord and the Hokage fought until their bodies could no longer move. All their vitals were paralyzed, the only way to save them was to extract there souls and allow them to be reborn. During the extraction one of the Hokage's hit-man attacked the Feudal Lord and caused his body and soul to be ripped apart angrily. The Feudal Lord's spirit then used its last amount of energy, meant for reincarnation, and attacked the Hokage in which his spirit was trapped at the Grasslands. Some say you can still here the sound of chakra being used, as well as swords clashing.

It is celebrated in February during the night. People from the city create small paper butterflies on which they write their hopes and dreams, and then throw it into a large fire. It is believed that the ashes of their written desires reach the gods above and are fulfilled by them.
